We're building the world's leading climate and deep tech early-stage venture firm. We are partnering with the most ambitious founders building generational companies that replace legacy systems underpinning the physical world with cleaner, better, and more efficient alternatives from the first investment round onwards.
Our team has a successful track record of founding, building and investing in some of the most successful tech companies of the last 20 years on both sides of the Atlantic. Since 2022 we have made 30 investments, with fifteen of these companies raising over $500m in follow-on capital between them since we first invested. We recently raised our second fund from top-tier institutional LPs and are actively investing across Europe and in the US.
The Role
This is an opportunity to be an early team member at one of the most ambitious and impactful firms in venture. You will work closely with the partners at the firm to:
- Identify investment opportunities through sourcing and thesis-driven work
- Lead due diligence work and build conviction on new and follow-on investments
- Support portfolio company founders in building their businesses
- Contribute to other aspects of building a top-tier venture firm
Who is likely to thrive in the role?
Someone with an entrepreneurial spirit. Every role at Transition plays an important role in shaping the firm and helping us collectively build one of the most important venture firms in the world. We want someone who's creative, ambitious and who thinks from first principles. Someone who will proactively suggest new ideas and has the drive to make those ideas a reality.
Someone curious and eager to learn. The world is changing fast and our role as investors requires continuously absorbing new information and experiences. We are looking for someone who can navigate ambiguity, who thrives in ever-changing environments and has the intellectual curiosity to continuously question in their quest to reach peak performance.
Someone who excels at clear communication. We're a diverse team, speaking multiple languages, and we collaborate across several time zones, so clear, concise and empathetic communication is key. Strong communication in our minds also means having the ability to translate complexity into clear digestible formats which we believe directly correlates with better decision making.
