About the Role
Future Planet Capital manages the £105m UK Innovation & Science Seed Fund (UKI2S) — a government-backed initiative focused on early-stage investments in sectors vital to UK economic advancement. This position places analysts at the center of deal sourcing, evaluation, and portfolio management across deep-tech ventures.
Investment Operations
- Identify and evaluate emerging opportunities through multiple channels
- Conduct due diligence across technical, commercial, and market dimensions
- Prepare materials for Investment Committee review
- Facilitate transactions from initial contact through closing
- Coordinate with co-investors on syndicate development
Company Support
- Collaborate with portfolio firms on strategic initiatives
- Assist with capital-raising and stakeholder engagement
- Track performance metrics and emerging risks
Ecosystem Development
- Shape sourcing strategy and relationship networks
- Partner with universities, accelerators, and ecosystem players
- Build data-driven processes for identifying opportunities
Required Education & Experience
- Postgraduate qualification (or equivalent) in fields like biotechnology, molecular biology, or biochemistry
- 1–2 years in relevant roles (science consulting, pharmaceutical work)
- Preferred: startup exposure and venture capital internship experience

Compensation
- £40–60k salary
