About XRC Ventures

XRC Ventures is an early-stage venture fund investing in technologies that consumer brands and retailers need to service the ever-changing needs of their customers. Since 2015, XRC has invested in over 150 Pre-Seed through Series A startups across three distinct fund strategies — Accelerator Fund, Opportunity Fund, and Brand Capital Fund.

We are in a pivotal phase of growth — actively raising institutional capital and building the systems, team and relationships to scale our LP base. This is an opportunity to join a small, high-performing team at a meaningful inflection point.

The Opportunity

We are building out our fundraising infrastructure. Today, most fundraising-related activity sits with senior leadership — spanning strategy, outreach, CRM management, materials and relationship development. We are looking for a driven, organized professional to help us create a repeatable, scalable process that generates high-quality LP meetings without sacrificing quality or personalization.

The role is part-time, with a possible full-time opportunity for the right candidate.

Who You Are

You are a polished, proactive professional. You thrive in lean environments, take ownership over your work, and can translate ambiguity into organized, executable action. You are an exceptional written communicator, highly detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally with senior leadership.

Venture capital and investor relations experience is preferred but not required. You do, however, need to understand how to build trust-based relationships over time, manage a pipeline with discipline, and communicate with sophisticated audiences.

What You Will Do

Pipeline Development — Identifying & Qualifying New Leads

  • Monitor LP-focused publications, venture databases, and funding announcements to identify institutional, family office, and HNWI prospects
  • Use LinkedIn and network mapping to surface mutual connections and warm introduction paths to priority targets
  • Compile and organize potential introducers in structured formats for leadership review
  • Segment and maintain both warm-referral and cold-outreach prospect lists with appropriate sourcing notes
  • Continuously refine the target list based on pipeline feedback and strategy evolution

CRM Management (HubSpot)

  • Own day-to-day CRM hygiene in HubSpot — ensuring all prospect records, outreach statuses, meeting notes, and follow-up tasks are current and accurate
  • Maintain clear targeting and categorization across warm, cold, and inbound leads
  • Identify and flag pipeline gaps or stalled conversations for leadership review on a weekly basis
  • Recommend and implement process improvements or tooling to improve CRM efficiency and outreach tracking

Meeting Preparation & LP Briefings

  • Prepare concise, well-researched one-page bios and briefings ahead of LP meetings
  • Recommend high-priority meeting opportunities to leadership ahead of travel or conference schedules
  • Support updates to investor-facing materials in the data room and assist with inbound diligence requests

Outreach Messaging & Strategy

  • Draft personalized outreach emails, LinkedIn messaging, and follow-up sequences
  • Develop and iterate on messaging frameworks that resonate with family offices, HNWIs and institutional allocators
  • Manage follow-up cadence with discipline, ensuring no warm lead or pending conversation goes cold

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in sales, fundraising, business development, or a related field
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Experience managing a CRM (HubSpot strongly preferred)
  • Proactive and self-directed
  • Track record of building trust-based relationships with sophisticated or senior stakeholders
  • Strong research instincts
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in financial services, private markets, or adjacent industries
  • Experience supporting or participating in a fundraise, capital formation process, or LP/client relations function
  • Familiarity with LP audiences including family offices, endowments, foundations, and corporate strategics

Employment Details

  • Status: Part-time (up to 25 hours/week) with a possible full-time opportunity for the right candidate
  • Location: Remote; New York locals preferred, occasional in-person in New York City for events and meetings
  • Reports to: Chief of Staff
  • Compensation: $40–$60/hr based on experience
