The Role
We are looking for an Investment & Operations Associate to join our team. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role that sits at the intersection of fund operations, communications, and deal flow. You will manage the operational engine of the fund: portfolio company relations, fund network management, process optimization, events, and external communications. At the same time, you will actively source deals and contribute to the investment process on your own pipeline. You will work directly with the GP and the Investment Analyst, acting as the connective tissue that keeps everything running.
What You'll Do
Fund Operations & Process Management
- Own and optimize internal workflows: CRM management, deal tracking, reporting templates, and team tools
- Prepare regular fund reports and updates for internal use
- Identify bottlenecks in existing processes and implement improvements, including AI-powered tools and automation
- Maintain and organize the fund's knowledge base: deal history, contact records, meeting notes
Portfolio & Fund Network Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for portfolio companies: track milestones, coordinate updates, and flag issues to the GP
- Manage relationships with partner funds: share deal flow, request feedback on co-investment opportunities, and maintain regular communication
- Prepare portfolio performance summaries and materials for LP reporting
Communications & Events
- Handle external communications across the fund's ecosystem: partners, co-investors, accelerators, and the broader venture community
- Coordinate event participation: identify relevant conferences and demo days, send team members, monitor startups, and write follow-up notes on new contacts
- Maintain the fund's public presence through occasional LinkedIn posts and ecosystem engagement
Deal Sourcing & Investment Support
- Actively source deals into the pipeline through network outreach, events, ecosystem engagement, and proactive research
- Screen and evaluate startups on your own pipeline: conduct initial calls, assess fit, and prepare materials for the GP
- Contribute to the team's overall deal flow alongside the GP and Investment Analyst
Team Communication
- Stay in constant sync with the GP and Investment Analyst on priorities, pipeline status, and fund operations
- Coordinate handoffs between sourcing, analysis, and decision-making stages
- Prepare agendas and materials for internal meetings and investment committee sessions
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience in venture capital, fund operations, startup ecosystem, or a related field
- Strong organizational and project management skills: you can juggle multiple workstreams without dropping the ball
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; comfortable representing the fund externally
- Understanding of the venture investment process: you know how to evaluate startups even if analytics is not your primary focus
- Confident using AI tools and modern productivity software to streamline workflows
- Proactive and resourceful: you don't wait for instructions, you see what needs to be done and do it
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, unstructured environment where priorities shift quickly
